Department of Electrical Engineering

Department Sections

About

The department was started in the year 2007 with 60 intake. The department is affiliated with GTU and follows the university’s curriculum. The department has qualified and dedicated regular faculties. The department is equipped with numerous equipment and instruments and that’s why it is having well-functioning labs in the subjects like, electrical machine lab, electronics lab, instrumentation lab, basic electrical lab, microprocessor lab, protection lab, digital electronics lab, computer lab, etc. Recently from this first year 2024, the department is following NEP 2020 as per the new curriculum designed by Gujarat Technological University, Gandhinagar.

The department uses different tools and teaching techniques to impart knowledge in both theoretical and practical domains. Along with it, the department always motivates students to take part in various co-curricular activities. Being a core branch in the Engineering Field, good employability is the key feature of the department. Our students got absorbed in various companies like, Voltas, Adani, Motherson Sumi, Coca-cola, Torrent Power, Waaree solar, AMNS etc.
